Growing Up (Poem)

Growing Up

Growing up,
Being scared of crowds and presentations,
Scared of people judging me,
Scared of everything that might go wrong,
Trying to pick up my courage to do it.
But it just doesn't feel right.

Growing up,
Being taunted by bullies and haters,
Their words are like knives,
Cutting deep into my heart.
Leaving a huge wound that will never heal right.

Growing up,
Being upset at everything and everyone I love,
I just wanted to be left alone,
But why wouldn't they just let me be?
Making me feel like a pile of useless junk.

Growing up,
Without any brothers or sisters.
But I still have imaginary friends.
They treated me like I'm their baby sister.
I've never felt this happy,
As they're now my older brothers and sister,
Without any blood relation.
